2022 - 10-26 LIVE How I became a Life Coach:Worth:Value
===
[00:00:00] Hopping on live. I got asked how I became a life coach and I don't think I've shared that story with you. So I thought I would share with you guys real quick. Um, normally I try to do these in the morning and I had to go for a CPR research. So, uh, I am doing it at nine 30 at night. So I'm getting this done cause I said I would.
Um, okay. So I was asked how I became a life coach and, um, it's kind of a funny story and it definitely ties into my own weight loss journey. So let's see. A little, a little over a year ago, uh, my mom And I had had a struggle with my weight loss since my whole life, and I had really, in 2019, really started to turn it around.
And when my mom passed, I [00:01:00] promptly went back to work. Um, I'm going to that I used to have that were eating my feelings and pushing everything down and binging and just trying to figure out how to comfort myself. And so I, um, I can get through this without crying. So anyway, one day I was feeling. fairly terrible.
I got on the scale and it was not a number I liked and I was getting ready to go into the work for the day and I had gotten from my weight loss mentor a email saying last call for this workshop she was having in Tennessee. And I, I saw it and I remember how I just thought this might be my last hope.
This might be the last thing. I was gaining the weight back that I had lost. [00:02:00] I didn't know what to do about it. I felt like my entire world was falling apart and that I was totally self sabotaging all of my journey that I had gone through before. And I truly was just trying to take care of myself the best I could.
And so I talked to my husband and I said, I know this is a lot of money, but I really feel like I need to be there. It might be the thing that gets me to stop overeating. And I did not feel very worthy. I didn't feel like I was okay enough to even get to spend, I don't remember how much, it was like, uh, 1, 200, 1, 500, something like that on myself.
And so I Um, I was like asking for his permission to allow me to spend some money on myself. And he's like, you're the one who does our finances, you know, if we have money or [00:03:00] not. And so I, um, I just decided it was what I had to do, or I was going to promptly end up back where I began. I had, um, not been thinking about any of the things I knew.
And so I got to this workshop and I'm at the workshop and I want to make sure I'm getting my money's worth because, you know, I've come feeling very unvaluable, unworthy of spending the money. And so I get there and I am participating in every group discussion. I am taking all the notes. I'm filling out all the worksheets.
Um, and then not only am I getting my money's worth. Anybody who hears this that was at that table with me will understand what I'm saying, but I was getting all their money's worth too. So when they would tell me what they wrote on their worksheets, I was asking them questions and I was trying to figure out if it was something that maybe I might later need to know about and so I [00:04:00] was Asking a ton of questions so that I could get all of their answers so that I would have even that experience Even though it wasn't my own yet in case I needed it when I got home And so, you know get my money's worth to prove that like it wasn't a waste of money to spend this money for me to go to this camp this workshop and so One of the people, I don't even remember which lady it was, but she said, have you ever thought about being one of the coaches?
Cause the mentor program that I was in, she uses life coaches. And so she had all these life coaches there and they would coach us. She would coach us. And so apparently that's what I was doing was. I was coaching my friends and all the people at the table, and I didn't realize that's what that was. I was just trying to like, make sure I got my money's worth.
And so I. Had that seed planted right then and there because that's [00:05:00] exactly how I had lost my weight was with weight loss coaching so the whole life coaching type of program and It was the only thing that made sense at all and it was the only thing that saved me again when I gained the weight back after my mom passed and so I had that seed planted.
I went on a vacation with my family and I kind of figured out how to be brave and talk to my husband about it. And I'm going to laugh because I was freaking out to go to this workshop that was 1, 200 and I spent over 20, 000 for me to go be, uh, certified as a life coach. And so. I just decided that the pain that I had, it was,
it was, um, helped. And I had such hope again with my weight. And that [00:06:00] is exactly what every person deserves for themselves. And so I can't believe I'm crying. My mentor cries all the time and I just smile because she's always crying. And here I am crying. So anyway, so, um, I had the biggest issue paying the 500, whatever it was for the workshop she had.
And now I'm going to pay well over 20, 000 to go, um, become certified. So that I can help other women figure out their weight and all of their emotional stuff. And so the emotional stuff is what really matters. I was eating because of. I didn't feel worthy or valuable. And so I ate to prove like that I could find some enjoyment in life.
I ate because I didn't feel valuable and the pain of feeling lacking and less than was overwhelming. And so I would eat even more and then [00:07:00] all the stuff with mom just even more compounding it. So I, uh, believe it or not crying right now, I totally have learned how to feel my feelings and allow them how to eat for food and eat, eat for enjoyment when I'm hungry.
And so, um, that is, That is the story of how I've become a life coach. And it was definitely like the, the flower that blossomed after mom's passing. And so I cannot tell you how much I love getting to help other women figure out their stuff, how to gain confidence and empower them, help them learn how to love their bodies and teach them that, um, they can absolutely love.
food and eat it when they're hungry. And so food does not solve anything other than hunger. And so when we are looking for [00:08:00] a solve of anything that's not hunger related, then really food's not the answer. So Learning how to understand what you're feeling and where it's coming from and why And all of it's our thoughts.
It's our thinking that is creating whatever feeling you're feeling and and you know what? I was so sad and I I can't imagine feeling any other way So, but that doesn't mean I eat over it So learning how to just I can't believe i'm crying learning how to feel it and
like really just in the love that I had for her. I have, I still have. And so anyway, I'm telling you all this because someone asked me today how I became a life coach and I said that that's a story I've never shared with you all. [00:09:00] So I think the bigger story of this is the story of your value and your worth.
And so if you are thinking about how Much you would love to be able to look in the mirror and love yourself. I would love to help you love yourself at any size. any size and the one you're at now, the one you want to be at. I am really good at listening to your story and hearing what worked before for you and then what didn't.
And then those things we will absolutely work on together. I don't have a one size fits all type program. I do what's called concierge weight loss coaching. And so whatever it is that you need is what we do. And I am able to listen and tell you where the little, the little thought that's not helping you and then [00:10:00] we can figure out like how, how is it that you're not moving past that thought?
Like what is it that's holding you there? Why are you thinking it? Where is that coming from? And so uh, A lot of times people just need some help tweaking some habits and sometimes there's some thoughts in there that are holding them back too. So we kind of dive in deep with whatever it is we need to and it's, it's, uh, definitely not one size fits all.
It is personalized, very unique for each person and I walk with you the entire time. I am your biggest cheerleader and your biggest kick in the pants, whatever it needs to happen. I, I teach you how to trust yourself, how to be empowered, how to love yourself again, or maybe love yourself for the first time.
You are absolutely worthy and valuable. I am absolutely worthy and valuable, and I can't wait to share all of that with you. [00:11:00] If this is something that you think that you are even, um, interested in. I cannot see how you couldn't be interested in having all of these things unlocked for you like it was for me.
And if I'm not explaining it well enough, then I would love to talk to you about it more so that you can ask me more questions because this was definitely the key to unlock all of those doors that were holding me back from lasting weight loss. I'm going to post the link for you to just jump on a time to talk with me and we will get something scheduled.
There's a calendar. You pick what works for you. I would love to hear your story. I would love to help you with a personalized action plan and figure out what the next step is for you. so that you can get into that weight loss and not have to be worrying about any of it ever again. I'm going to jump off and go to bed and I hope you do the same.
[00:12:00] Good night.
