09:46:56 Week 2, the real reason habits Fail and What Works Instead.
09:47:06 Have you ever started a diet or a habit, feeling confident?
09:47:11 Only to quietly stop a few weeks later.
09:47:14 And think, why can't I stick with anything?
09:47:17 And then you make that mean something about you.
09:47:19 This episode is for that moment.
09:47:22 Most women don't say, my habits failed.
09:47:25 They say, I failed. They assume that they lack discipline, or motivation, or willpower.
09:47:32 I've heard it again and again. But that's not what's actually happening.
09:47:36 I used to believe that if I wanted something badly enough,
09:47:39 I just had to do it. That's it. I just have to do it.
09:47:42 People say, I don't know what to do, I'm just not doing it.
09:47:45 Well, it's not because…
09:47:47 You know what to do.
09:47:49 I… when I didn't do it, I told myself, I just… I wasn't trying hard enough, so I needed more motivation, more willpower.
09:47:57 What I didn't understand was that I was building habits
09:48:02 that only worked when I felt motivated.
09:48:05 That's what, if I… I know what to do, I'm just not doing it. I just felt like I wasn't motivated enough.
09:48:10 I was building habits that only worked when life was calm, or when I actually had some energy.
09:48:17 Or, when nothing unexpected happened.
09:48:20 That's not real life. Here's a pattern I see constantly.
09:48:24 Women are brutally…
09:48:27 self-critical. Every slip-up becomes, what's wrong with me? I can't do anything!
09:48:32 anything right. I should just quit.
09:48:35 While other women go in the opposite direction, almost like a fairyland,
09:48:39 of telling themselves, I did everything right, even when there were mistakes made.
09:48:44 Or, there's nothing to change!
09:48:47 It's all good! I'm doing it! And then sometimes they'll start saying, I don't think I even want to lose weight anymore.
09:48:53 Because they don't want to look at it.
09:48:55 But both responses are actually protecting the same thing.
09:49:00 Your self-worth. All the
09:49:02 those thoughts you have about yourself.
09:49:04 It's protecting that, because admitting that something needs adjusting
09:49:09 can feel like admitting that you did something wrong.
09:49:12 And if you're already hard on yourself,
09:49:14 Curiosity doesn't feel safe.
09:49:17 So habits don't fail because you're lazy.
09:49:20 They fail because self-criticism?
09:49:23 makes change feel very threatening.
09:49:26 So, most habits don't just fall apart suddenly, they slowly, they start to feel heavy.
09:49:33 Like, it's too many rules, too much pressure, too much expectation.
09:49:38 And when a habit feels heavy,
09:49:40 You don't rebel, you avoid it, like the plague.
09:49:45 Consistency. That's…
09:49:47 it's not, um… consistency isn't about pushing harder. It's about making things lighter.
09:49:52 That's it! What's one habit that you've been trying to do perfectly?
09:49:57 That might actually work better.
09:50:00 If it was easier.
09:50:02 Inside my free webinar, I explain why habits collapse.
09:50:05 How to rebuild them in a way that fits real life.
09:50:10 isn't about trying harder. It's about making weight loss feel lighter, easier.
09:50:15 More sustainable, doable.
