15:52:46 How to… oh, building momentum for January without overwhelm.
15:52:54 We're getting close! Happy almost new year, friend! Today we're talking about something way more effective than motivation, momentum.
15:53:01 Because you don't need pressure, you don't need perfection,
15:53:04 And you don't need a complete overhaul, you just need a little momentum.
15:53:08 So motivation is emotional adrenaline. It spikes, it crashes, momentum is different.
15:53:14 Momentum is built through small actions and gentle consistency, emotional support, lowering the friction, the hard, right?
15:53:23 Momentum lasts, motivation doesn't.
15:53:26 You have to believe I can do this. I'm capable, I'm…
15:53:30 ready-ish, right? This doesn't have to be hard. Those are all thoughts that are going to help you.
15:53:35 that emotional shift, it's what's gonna get you moving.
15:53:39 So let's rebuild that together.
15:53:41 These are the tiny habits that make everything easier. Water in the morning.
15:53:46 hunger check-ins once a day.
15:53:49 Stopping at enough, at least once a day.
15:53:52 slowing down your bites, pausing before snacking, planning a meal, just one even a day until you get used to it.
15:53:59 a 10-minute walk. Um, or going to bed 15-20 minutes earlier.
15:54:04 Just pick one. Repeat it most days. This is how momentum works.
15:54:08 So, these make you feel off-track fast.
15:54:12 These ones are gonna drain you.
15:54:14 If you skip meals, if you have negative self-talk, you know those people that are always saying negative things about themselves, don't let that be you.
15:54:23 Um, perfectionism, all-or-nothing thinking.
15:54:27 Um, trying to do a complete overhaul on everything all at once.
15:54:32 Um, comparison. It's definitely gonna drain you, and over-committing.
15:54:37 Remove one of those drainers.
15:54:41 1. Remove it, and then add one of the builders.
15:54:44 You immediately are gonna start feeling better.
15:54:48 So, here's the first 5 days rule. Don't plan the whole year. Don't plan the whole month.
15:54:54 plan for 5 days.
15:54:56 what would make my first 5 days doable?
15:55:01 One habit, a supportive thought, a guaranteed win. That always does it for me.
15:55:06 One small boundary, or a simple meal strategy. This is where your confidence begins.
